Meet Josh garciaJosh Garcia is an audio engineer, music producer, and musician residing in Northern California. With over 20 years experience in the music industry, learning from a diverse background of seasoned veteran producers, Garcia's skill set includes an arsenal of approaches from across the eras. In this time, he has developed an appreciation for many styles of music and the seemingly endless ways to put a record together.
Garcia is well versed in both digital and analog formats, often utilizing the uniqueness of both worlds to produce the best sounding recordings and mixes possible. With his honed skills, he has developed a style that makes sessions comfortable, productive, and challenging for both the artist and the engineer. He is the former (2011-2016) manager and head engineer of San Francisco's Motor Studios (owned by NOFX's Fat Mike). Before COVID, you could also find Josh behind the console at any variety of live events, from intimate venues to large festivals, or internationally on tour as FOH for various bands. After recently graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2021, he is currently working as a freelance audio mixer and record producer in the North State. In January of 2022, Josh opened his personal production studio in Chico, California. Here he works on mixing remote projects, songwriting, sound design, and can be found making noise at some ungodly hour. "My goal when I take on a session is to get the best out of the artist, the band, the mix, or the pot of coffee as quickly and efficiently as possible, without losing focus on the project at hand." -JG |
